With the new year upon us, preparations for the Dauntsey Festival of Transport & Country Show 2025 are now in full swing! The committee has rolled up their sleeves and is putting in lots of hard work to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever. We are having lots of committee meetings and smaller team meetings fuelled by coffee and cake to get everything in place! With the festival expanding to three days over the August bank holiday weekend, there’s so much to plan, coordinate, and improve to ensure an unforgettable experience for everyone.
Here’s a look at the hard work underway and what you can expect:
A Growing Festival
The expansion to three days is a huge step forward for the show as it moves to the August bank Holiday this year, and it brings with it exciting new opportunities. This year, we’re introducing expanded zones and additional features, all designed to make the festival even more enjoyable. From larger display areas for classic and vintage vehicles to new attractions in the artisan food court and the craft zones, there’s plenty to look forward to.
The committee is also focused on improving facilities and layouts to ensure everything runs smoothly over the extended weekend. It’s all hands on deck to make this the most ambitious event in the festival’s history.
Updates on Website and Social Media
As planning ramps up, we’ll be sharing regular updates on our website and social media channels. From sneak peeks at what’s new for 2025 to announcements about exciting exhibitors, our live music artists (happening all day, all weekend), arena displays, and food vendors, there will be plenty of news to keep you in the loop.
Make sure to follow us online for behind-the-scenes glimpses into all the hard work that goes into bringing the festival to life. We’ll also be sharing tips and information to help visitors make the most of their time at the event.

New and Expanded Features
We’re thrilled to introduce several new features for the 2025 festival. These include:
- Expanded Craft Marquee: Now bigger than ever after the massive success of our craft marquee last year. With something for everyone from unique crafts to home crafts.
- New Artisan Food Court: As announced back in September last year, with even more local producers and unique culinary offerings, this area will be a highlight for food lovers.
- Livestock and Produce Classes: New competitions and classes for children, schools, and clubs, plus displays and classes featuring poultry, and more, will add to the country show atmosphere.
- Improved Vehicle Zones: With additional space for exhibitors, we’re expecting an even larger turnout of classic and vintage vehicles, tractors, and steam engines.
Every committee member is working hard to coordinate these improvements and ensure every detail is just right.
Volunteers at the Heart of the Festival
A significant part of our preparations involves coordinating with our amazing team of volunteers. From stewarding and gate duties to car parking and assisting with displays, volunteers are the backbone of the festival. The committee is deeply grateful for the dedication and enthusiasm of everyone involved.

If you’d like to get involved, we’re always looking for new volunteers to join the team. It’s a great way to be part of the action and contribute to this much-loved community event. Pop over to our volunteer page to discover how you can get involved, with opportunities for everyone, from committee and section leaders to park car attendants and even dog show management!
