Could you be one of our superstar’s volunteering with us? Dauntsey Festival of Transport & Country Show is a great community event, attracting thousands of local residents as well as visitors from the wider region. However, the show would not be possible without the willing help of its many volunteers behind the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Volunteering Roles
From the Chair Person’s role, the Committee members, the various show department coordinators through to those who staff marquees, gates and car parks, our show is a wonderful example of a volunteer force working together to produce a fun filled family event for all! It is also quickly becoming a jewel in the crown locally covering a total of nearly 70 acres showground, entertainment and camping facilities.
Come and join a great team of volunteers and enjoy a brilliant show as well! Areas where volunteers are needed include:
- Selling and checking tickets and stewarding at the entrance gate
- Gate stewarding in the days before the show when the showground is closed
- Assisting with the setup and pack down days
- Assisting in the car parks
- Helping with photography, video, social media and marketing
- Assisting with the dog show
- Becoming one of our amazing first aid team
- Plus many more opportunities!
Benefits of Becoming a Volunteer
Volunteers get free entry to the show and free parking is available for those who need it. Volunteering for the day on Saturday, Sunday or Monday of the show also qualifies you for a free lunch and an invitation to our Volunteers thank you barbeque as well! Plus we always welcome new team members with hidden skills, maybe you have an engineering background or sound and lighting experience, you could have first aid qualifications or simply want to get stuck in and be helpful where you can!
