As we look ahead to the 2026 Dauntsey Festival of Transport & Country Show, we’re proud to announce the charities we’ll be supporting throughout the year. Giving back has always been at the very heart of our event, and each year we select a number of causes that hold special meaning to our committee, volunteers, and community.
Our founder, Ali Potter, has chosen to continue our support Plum Unlimited, in memory of her late husband, Fred Potter, whose name and spirit remain deeply woven into the fabric of our show. Ali has also chosen Prospect Hospice this year, a charity that has become even more personal to her following her own cancer diagnosis earlier this year. Both organisations reflect Ali’s incredible strength and her determination to use the show’s platform to make a lasting difference.

Our chair, Liz Graney, has selected Help for Heroes as her chosen charity. As an Army veteran, married to a Royal Marine veteran, and with strong military ties throughout her family and our local community, this charity represents an important part of our show’s identity. The Armed Forces community plays a huge role in our region, and supporting those who have served, and their families, is something we take great pride in. On our committee, in addition to Liz, we also have a serving member of the Armed Forces and a military wife.

Alongside these, our committee has voted to support Chrissies Owls as our animal charity,. Animals are at the heart of rural life, from family pets and wildlife to the livestock that sustain our countryside communities.
Other Charitiable Donations & Support
In addition to our main charities, we also make a range of small donations throughout the year to support local community projects and smaller charitable organisations. From local events and youth groups to fellow fundraisers, we’re proud to play a small part in helping others make a big difference.
Members of our committee also volunteer their time to projects and organisations to support them in other ways and in addition to financial donations. We know that many charities and fundraising events struggle with volunteers so we like to help with physical help as well where we are able too.
Free Charity Pitches Available at the Show
We also invite charities and community organisations to join us at the show by booking one of our free fundraising pitches. These spaces offer a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness, connect with visitors, and raise funds for your cause over the show weekend. Together, these causes reflect what our show is truly about, community, compassion, and connection. We’re more than just an event; we’re a gathering of people who care, celebrate, and support one another through good times and hard times alike.
“By coming together, we don’t just celebrate transport, we celebrate people.”
