We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news as we look ahead to the 2026 Dauntsey Festival of Transport & Country Show: We’ve got a brilliant new team leading the way!

The new committee brings together a wonderful mix of familiar faces, returning friends, and brand-new members, all bursting with enthusiasm, ideas, and experience. Some of our team have been with the show since the very beginning, while others joined as volunteers during the 2025 event. Together, they bring a perfect blend of history, passion, and fresh perspective.

New Chair & Vice Chair But Familar Faces

We’re especially delighted to announce that Liz has taken the reins as Chair for the 2026 show! After serving as Vice Chair in 2025, and previously supporting the event as both a volunteer and sponsor, Liz is full of drive, energy, and creative ideas. She’s excited to build on everything that makes our show special and lead the team into a new chapter.

Richard, our much-loved former Chair, is continuing his incredible work as Vice Chair and Head of Infrastructure, ensuring his valuable experience remains a guiding force behind the scenes.

Ali Our Founder Has Returned

We’re also overjoyed to welcome back our founder, Ali to the committee and she will be working with our sponsors again. She has shown incredible strength throughout her battle with cancer and is now well enough to rejoin the committee. It’s wonderful to have her back, and there’s even more exciting news from her coming soon!

A New Secretary & Familar Treasurer

Our Show Secretary, Izzy, is stepping into her new role this year while continuing as Section Leader for Cars and Bikes, a section she helped make a real highlight of the 2025 show. Like Liz, Izzy was a volunteer and sponsor before joining the committee last year, and she’s looking forward to helping bring even more to the show in 2026. We’re also delighted that Alex continues as our dedicated Treasurer, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

New Members & New Energy

We’ve welcomed five fantastic new committee members, with at least two more on the way. One of our new members, Vonnie, joined us this year as a trade stand holder, bringing valuable insight and ideas from our traders’ perspective. Several others bring impressive experience from other shows and major events, which will help us take the Festival to exciting new heights.

Before we look ahead, we’d like to take a moment to thank the committee members who have stepped down this year. Their hard work, dedication, and contributions over the years have helped shape the Festival into what it is today, and we wish them all the very best for the future.

Some Exciting Ideas Already In the Planning

You wouldn’t believe some of the brilliant ideas already being explored and organised, 2026 is shaping up to be one of our most creative and community-driven years yet!

After what was a challenging 2025 for many reasons, the whole team is feeling refreshed, re-energised, and ready to make 2026 our biggest and best Festival yet.
