One of the real highlights of this year’s Dauntsey Festival of Transport & Country Show was welcoming Chrissies Owls to the showground. Their beautiful birds, inspiring talks to our visitors, and tireless commitment to rescue and education made them a huge hit with visitors of all ages.
We were delighted to present Chrissies Owls with our Charity Stall Display of the Show Trophy,a well-deserved recognition for the incredible impact they made during the weekend. Alongside the trophy, we also made a £50 charity donation to support their vital work.
Education, Rescue & Community Impact
Chrissies Owls don’t just attend country shows and rallies, they dedicate countless hours to educating children and adults alike at schools, groups, and community events across the region. Their engaging and hands-on approach gives people a rare chance to get up close with owls while learning about conservation, wildlife care, and the importance of protecting these magnificent birds.
But their work doesn’t stop there. At all hours of the day and night, Chrissie and the Chrissies Owls team respond to calls for help, rescuing owls in need and giving them the best chance at recovery. It’s a true labour of love, powered by passion, knowledge, and dedication.
A Special Show Experience
Visitors to the show this year were able to meet and even hold some of the owls, creating unforgettable memories for all ages. Even our very own Vice Chair, Liz Graney, and Cars Section Leader, Izzy Graney, couldn’t resist having a turn! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, and it’s safe to say Chrissies Owls were one of the stars of the show.
